Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) dispatched as many as 120 Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel for a military operational control aid (BKO) to the Polda Papua in an operation code Aman Nusa I (contingency security anticipating social conflict).

The South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yazid Fanani reminded personnel to maintain cohesiveness and establish cooperation with TNI colleagues and the community.

"Remember not to underestimate the situation and conditions during the tasks in Papua," he stressed.

He also asked the team leaders to always communicate with the controlling officer colleagues who are there. "If there is any small incidents occurring in the execution of the task, please report it immediately," he explained.

Yazid admitted that the current task is indeed hard. For that, members are expected to always be patient in dealing with situations and conditions, especially emotions when carrying out their duties.

"Congratulations on fulfilling dharma bhakti. I am proud of you. Act as a knight as proof of the country's presentation there," concluded the two-star general.

The departure of BKO personnel took place at the South Kalimantan Regional Police headquarters attended by Irwasda (regional monitoring inspectorate) Sr Comr Pol. Djoko Poerbo Hadijojo, Brimob Commander Sr Comr. Ardiansyah Daulay and other top officials, including Chairwoman of South Kalimantan Bhayangkari Rinny Yazid Fanani and other board of management.

South Kalimantan Regional Police's Brimob personnel were dispatched specifically for assignments in Papua, whose security atmosphere was disturbed following a shooting incident against Trans Papua road project workers who were working to build bridges in Kali Yigi and Kali Aurak, Yigi, Nduga District.
