Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Regional VI Mulawarman Military Commander (Pangdam) Maj. Gen. Subiyanto said TNI soldiers must be close to the people as evidence of the army being present for the people of Indonesia.
The Pangdam was speaking after the commemoration of the 73rd Juang Kartika Day or the 73rd Army Anniversary held at the Murjani field in front of Banjarbaru City Hall on Saturday.
"The TNI is formed for the people so that every soldier must be able to be close to the people through various means to build the synergy of the TNI and the people," Pangdam said enthusiastically.
The message, he said, is in line with the theme of the 73rd anniversary namely "TNI Serves and Builds Together with the People" that every soldier must be carry out wherever they are.
TNI soldiers must also help the community tirelessly and selflessly because what is done to the people is a mandate that must be carried out as well as possible.
"All TNI soldiers united and together the people built the region, arose and drowned the TNI and the people like the mandate of the Great TNI Commander General Soedirman," he pointed out.
According to him, the presence of the TNI could not be alone, but synergized with each other with the National Police and the regional government, till true service could be realized, especially at the Kodam (Military Command) VI Mulawarman.
The commemoration of Juang Kartika Day which was organized by the 101 Antasari Provincial Military Command (Korem) was lively filled with parades of thousands of TNI soldiers, drum band attractions, car slalom, and Reog Ponorogo cultural arts, including TNI defense equipment.
