Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District Government again performed greening. This time with environmentalists the Green Community Forum (FKH) of Sehati HSS.
At the same time, the government also held a green festival, which was filled with various types of competitions related to reforestation.
"We should support this activity together because it has an important meaning in the development of HSS (capital) to become a green city," said Regent H. Achmad Fikry, who was represented by the Head of the HSS Housing, Settlement Area and Environment Agency Saputra HMK when opening the Green Action and Festival, Saturday (8/12).
Through this activity, participants are expected to understand the importance of cleanliness and preservation of the surrounding environment, till one day they become successors of development who understand and implement green city programs.
Likewise, students who took part in various competitions were expected to gain understanding and become pioneers, at least for the family and school environment, in the development of a green city.
The competitions held, among others, drawing for elementary schools or Islamic schools with the theme of Desa Hijau (Green Village), and fashion shows with clothing from used goods.
