Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yazid Fanani said that the evidence of 5 kg of methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) that was successfully seized by the Banjarmasin Drug Police with two perpetrators arrested were of international networks.


"Indeed, the perpetrators are in the international network of illicit drug trafficking. We managed to arrest them both before distributing the illicit goods in South Kalimantan and its surroundings," the police chief said in Banjarmasin on Thursday.
     
The two actors allegedly in the international drug network are MAF (21), a resident of Cilegon, and MF (22), a resident of Central Jakarta.
     
The two actors were involved in sending the international network of sabu-sabu through Malaysia-Padang route then Banjarmasin.
     
Arriving in Banjarmasin, finally, on December 1, 2018 right at Pesona Hotel, North Banjarmasin, both were arrested along with evidence of sabu-sabu weighing 5 kg, after an investigation for one week.
     
"From the results of the disclosure of the case of international sabu-sabu cases, Banjarmasin Police has saved 100,000 people," said the two-star general.
     
MAF and MF were named suspects and threatened with article 112 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35/2009 concerning narcotics with the threat of a minimum sentence of 5 years.
