Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Deputy Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Syamsuri Arsyad handed over social assistance to victims of the Central Sulawesi earthquake and tsunami.


Head of HSS Social Agency Hj Siti Erma in Lokbinuang, Monday (8/10) said the victims are residents of HSS who were victims of natural disasters in Palu and had fled to their family's house in Lokbinuang Village, Telaga Langsat Subdistrict.

"Their homes were devastated by the earthquake and tsunami disaster. The victims are expected to be able to calm themselves down and recover from the
trauma experienced after the natural disaster," he said.

He explained, from the results of the data collected by the HSS Disaster Preparedness Team (Tagana), the victims who had fled in Lokbinuang Village are three people. They are Mila (45), Novia Lestari (20), Felecia (4). While there are still two more people who survived in Palu, namely Salim Abd Samad
and Oktavaria (17).

From other information, it is known that there are some residents from HSS who live in Palu, Central Sulawesi, who choose to flee to relatives' homes in HSS. Their homes were destroyed due to the disaster and they wanted to gather with family.

Also accompanying the assistance hand over was the Head of the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency Hj Is Susilastuti, Telaga Langsat Subdistrict Head Bardamaini, the local village head, and the HSS Social Agency potential.
