Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Dozens of foreign tourists attended the opening of the Banjarmasin trade fair at the Siring Park attraction of Martapura Riverside on Jalan Piere Tendean, Friday.
They are Friendship Force Chicago International participants who are currently traveling to Banjarmasin City.
Mayor H Ibn Sina who opened the exhibition which takes place from September 20 to 25 warmly welcomed the foreign tourists. According to him, their presence was very meaningful for promotion.
He hoped the foreign tourists wanted to buy and bring home to their country the local product of Banjarmasin as souvenirs. "We hope they have an impression with our city, the best river city in Indonesia," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Trade and Industry Agency Khairil Anwar said the trade fair involved 70 booths. "Not only from Banjarmasin, there are also SME products from 12 other districts and cities in the province, even from outside Kalimantan, such as Central Java and East Java," he said.
