Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Banjarmasin legislative Council (DPRD) Commission IV member H. Deddy Sofyan said the commission approved the removal of around Rp13 billion in budget for the procurement of medical devices for Sultan Suriansyah Hospital.

The budget elimination was agreed upon at the 2018 draft meeting of the revised local budget (APBD-P) on the grounds that the hospital is still under construction.

"Because it is known that the physical repair of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital is still being carried out, so the procurement of medical equipment is not yet appropriate," he said.

The commission understood the reason for the Health Agency not to continue procuring medical equipment (alkes) this year. "So the budget is transferred to the APBD next year after the physical construction of the hospital is complete," he explained.

This is why, he said, the budget of the Banjarmasin City Health Agency was reduced from Rp150 billion in the 2018 pure budget (APBD) to Rp137 billion in the draft of the revised local budget.

"For the program in the APBD this district health agency is implementing a lot of renovation of the puskesmas (community health center), there is no big physical development," he said.
