Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Kalimantan chapter of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (Pertina) under the leadership of the 101 Antasari Military Commander Col. Inf Yudianto Putrajaya sent 13 best boxers to the 2018 National Junior Amateur Boxing Championship.
"We ask for prayer and support, hopefully, they achieve the best for South Kalimantan," said the Provincial Military Commander (Danrem) in Banjarmasin on Monday.
Danrem hopes that the South Kalimantan boxers in the national boxing championship which take place on September 17-24 at Laga Satria Sport Hall (GOR), Pakansari, Cibinong, Bogor, West Java, won achievements.
He also gave an optimal injection of enthusiasm in coaching so that the boxing athletes achievements in South Kalimantan could be better.
"It is necessary all parties from the local government and related policy makers care to contribute so that the achievements of South Kalimantan boxing rise and can make the name of the region on the national, even international level," he said.
Meanwhile, Secretary of South Kalimantan's Pertina Hermanto Ginting who led the team to Bogor said the boxers who were going to compete were two boxers from Tanah Laut, two boxers from Banjar District, four from Banjarbaru and five boxers from Banjarmasin.
