Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, wins a national nomination for 2018 family medicinal plants (tanaman obat keluarga or toga) for the category of remote villages.
     

Head of Health Service and Resources Division of the Tabalong Health Agency Ahmad Baihaki in Tanjung on Saturday said the toga from Argomulyo Village, Bintang Ara Sub-district, had entered the national nomination.
   
"Argomulyo Village residents are indeed actively developing a family medicinal plants and successfully won the national nomination," he said.
   
As one of the remote villages in Tabalong, Argomulyo Village residents believe that toga cultivation can protect and improve the welfare of the community. Including efforts to preserve natural wealth through local plants that have benefits
   
Baihaki said the assessment team from the center had seen firsthand the cultivation of family medicinal plants in Argomulyo Village.

One of the toga cadres of Argomulyo Village Sekti Mursini said that the cultivation of medicinal plants is a guidance from the Health Agency, PKK (Family Welfare Movement) Driving Team, sub-district office, and other related institutions.
     
"In addition to being used as a treatment, it also has economic value," explained Mursini.
