Member of Commission III overseeing employment of the local council assembly Sayid Ismail Kholil A in Batulicin on Sunday said that almost three years the company is not operating, even to this day its management can not explain.

"We had come to the company with some public figures to ask what the problem of the company to not operate, causing many employees of the local community dismissed," he said.

Explanation from the company, Sayid said, until now there is no certainty when it will operate again. However, the local government through the council will continue to urge for a definite clarity, so that employees can be reinstated.

For almost six years the existence of the company but only produce about three years from 2012 to 2015.

"We as a representative of the people really regretted the company that has not been operating for a long time, so its existence seems stagnant," he said.

The non-operation of the company had an impact on local communities who used to be employees, but are currently forced to become unemployed due to a contract termination.

PT MJIS should has been an anchor industry or a major industry in the Batulicin Integrated Economic Area (Kapet), so its existence has very important role as a reference of investors to take part in establishing the company here.

Previously, the local government was very proud of the existence of the steel company. The operation of the company can improve the regional economy and open employment for local communities, but it is almost three years of no longer operating.

"We expect PT MJIS management to respond seriously, do not be a negative spotlight to other company," he pleaded.
