Paringin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Home Minister Tjahjo Kumolo handed over the 2018 Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Award to Balangan Regent H Ansharuddin for implementing a national strategic health insurance program for all Balangan communities through the JKN-KIS program from Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan), Wednesday (23/5) in Jakarta.
UHC Award 2018 itself was presented symbolically by President Joko Widodo at the State Palace. Then the handover was continued by Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo at Grand Mercure Hotel, Jakarta.
Universal Health Coverage Award of the National Health Insurance-Healthy Indonesia Card (JKN-KIS) program was given to 92 districts, 28 cities, and 4 provinces in Indonesia, including Balangan as the sole recipient of South Kalimantan.
"For the province of South Kalimantan, Balangan is the only envoy and it attracted the attention of the regional heads. We are not proud enough to reach it, because this achievement is not just about who is fast, but how the way forward that people get health insurance according to our vision and mission, as well as Nawacita program," said Ansharuddin.
The gathering of regent, mayor and governor at the State Palace was a good moment that Regent Balangan H Ansharuddin took the benefit to establish a relationship with them, as well as with regional representatives who represent the district and city in the moment.
"The moment of the holy month of Ramadhan is good for our relationship, in addition to the delegates of the districts and cities and the Indonesian governors who receive the award. We can exchange opinions and experiences related to each region," he said.
He told, from the representatives of the regions, the majority are represented by the heads of regions, but there are also represented by the heads of agencies.
