Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is continuously seeking to expand cooperation with leading universities in Australia.


Besides Newcastle University Australia, said ULM Vice Rector IV on Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Prof. Dr. Ir. Yudi Firmanul Arifin, ULM also opens opportunities for cooperation with University of Queensland with focus on engineering and program 2 + 2, means two years lecture in Indonesia and two years in Australia.

"ULM has also started explorations to work with the University of New South Wales Australia," he said on Wednesday.

Then with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a focus on architecture and social science, as well as the University of Sidney in the field of research and publication.

From the cooperations, Prof. Yudi hopes, the deans can prepare the students as well as other matters related to the programs that will be followed.

Meanwhile, in the continuation of cooperation between ULM and Newcastle University, Prof. Yudi was invited as a speaker at a conference held at the university.

Participants who attend this conference come from different countries and sit together to discuss post-mining land rehabilitation.

From Indonesia, Prof. Yudi was accompanied by a representative from PT Jorong Barutama Greston (JBG). In this conference, Prof. Yudi explained about how to rehabilitate post mining land especially in South Kalimantan area.
