Batulicin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of Tanah Bumbu succeeded in suppressing the number of stunting or chronic malnutrition caused by the lack of nutrient intake for a long time due to food that does not meet the nutritional needs.


Regent Tanah Bumbu Mardani H. Maming through Expert Staff of Society and Human Resources Dr. Ambo Sakka in Batulicin on Thursday said that stunting experienced by children aged 0-59 months decreased significantly from year to year.

"The period of 2015 stunting patients reached 31.50 percent of the population of Tanah Bumbu, in 2016 it fell to 25.41 percent and in 2017 fell to 17.9 percent," said Ambo Sakka.

He said, based on stunting prevalence in South Kalimantan, Tanah Bumbu became the most successful district to reduce its stunting rate compared to other districts.

Even with the results achieved the Regent Mardani H Maming had the honor of being appointed as a resource at the Regional Health Working Meeting (Rakerkesda) held in Banjarmasin on Wednesday (4/4).
