Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The National Development Planning Board (Bappenas) officials reviewed the progress of the Swarangan Seaport project and the Jorong Industrial Estate in Tanah Laut district and met local officials on Thursday (22/3).
"In the meeting, a discussion was held with related agencies to learn the obstacles that hampered the development of Swarangan Seaport and Jorong Industrial Estate," said Caretaker (Pjs) Regent of Tanah Laut Achmad Sofiani in Pelaihari.
He hoped that the meeting between Tanah Laut and Bappenas officials could give way to accelerate the development of the priority project.
After the meeting, both officials then conducted a direct review to the port location and Jorong Industrial Zone.
Bappenas Young Planner Lilis Widyawati said the visit to Tanah Laut is in the framework of monitoring and evaluation towards the development of National Strategic Area, namely Swarangan Port and Jorong Industrial Estate.
She said many aspects must be considered, for example, road access, electricity, and the provision of human resources employed in the project.
According to her, other facilities that need to be added is the clean water because it is still lacking.
"The target is 2019 ready to operate and we will continue to monitor the development of the seaport and Jorong Industrial Estate," she said.
