Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan 7/2 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Municipal Government proposes hundreds of houses of its poor residents to get home renovation program held by the central government in 2018.

"For the home improvement program for poor people this year, we have proposed to the central government, the number is hundreds, even more than 300," said Head of Housing and Settlement A Fanani Syaifuddin in City Hall on Wednesday.

He mentioned the house renovation program from central government assistance through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (KemenPUPR) of 300 units for Banjarmasin quota in 2018.

"We are waiting for the decree from the central government, that we have proposed more than 300 poor houses spread in five sub-districts in this city to be assisted in repairing," he explained.

According to Fanani, Banjarmasin City has been some years always received assistance from the central government for the renovation of houses that are considered unfit for living.

He acknowledged, it has already been a few years the city's budget (APBD) did not reallocate for this program, because the central government program has been enough to help house renovation.

"As usual each house has been assisted with RP15 million per unit to repair the house," he said.
