Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A state vocational high school in Balangan, SMK PP Paringin, launched a packaged rice with a brand name of Banarai (Banih Maurai), Tuesday (8/8).


Balangan Regent H Ansharuddin and his deputy H Syaifullah attended the ceremony together with other government officials, representative of PT Adaro Indonesia, the school principal, teachers and students.

Previously, the school has harvested 2,2 tons of Cibogo rice from its owned rice field. The ceremony also intended for a thanksgiving.

Regent repeatedly appreciated the achievement of the vocational high school and expressed his expectation for the future of the development of the region.

"I hope the food-sufficiency program to be realized through the hands of graduated students of this school," he said.

In that occasion, CSR Section Head of PT Adaro Indonesia Yuri Budhi Sujalmi handed over Rp50 millions as the company's assistance for the school to open and develop rubber entrees plantation for a medium to produce a qualified rubber seeds.

The company, according to Yuri Budhi Sujalmi, expects rubber entrees plantation to give benefit to Balangan residents to gain a good quality of rubber seed and as a learning medium for SMK PP Negeri Paringin students.
 
The principal of the school Syahrudin thanked Adaro for the assistance. He said the company's assistance has so far help the school to achieve some achievements.
