Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru District Food Task Force discovered about 40 tons of what so called as oplos (mixed) rice during a raid in a warehouse on Jalan Stagen, Kotabaru.


Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner (AKBP) H Suhasto from his mobile phone on Saturday explained that after getting a public report and identifying the field, the Food Task Force raided a warehouse owned by a businessman.

"The result (of the raid), the team found about 40 tons of rice with some kind," he said.

Some of the rice in a sack container that written Bulog and other rice were from Sulawesi and Banjar or local rice. These rice were mixed one with other brands to be distributed to its customers.

Police Chief admitted his team was studying the problem of Bulog rice distribution because the distribution system also already have clear rules.
