Barabai, South Kalimantan (AntaraNewsKalsel) - A number of communities and organizations who unite in Concerned Citizens Movement and Rescue of Murakata (Gemppur) came to the Central Hulu Sungai Legislative Council (DPRD) to voice their rejection against Conch cement fleet.


Among their demands submitted on Monday (24/7) by the coordinator of action M Edwan Ansyari was asking the South Kalimantan Governor to immediately build a weighbridge and consistently enforce the Local Regulation No.3/2012.

"We also demand PT Conch to immediately make their special own road to comply with the recommendation of the South Kalimantan DPRD by no longer crossing the district and village roads with overload capacity consistently and no more stretch," he insisted.

If the government does not respond to these claims within two weeks, the Badaruddin action orator threatened to bring down more mobs and will sweeping by involving the relevant apparatus and if necessary to boycott Conch cement products in the buildings material stores.

"We did it to make a deterrent effect and stated that the HST community is not playing games, because due to the holey roads many accidents happened sometimes cause death and do not let the community act itself anarchically," he said.

One member of DPRD HST from the Golkar Party Faction Abdurrahman conveyed that PT Conch was impressed to pit the local community both drivers and residents, especially in HST.

"We are very supportive of foreign investment in the land of Borneo, but do not damage the road infrastructure that now there are eight districts and cities with holey road conditions. They easily dredge the results of our earth, but no respect for local wisdom," he says.

Meanwhile, HST DPRD speaker H Saban Effendi said a Special Committee (Pansus) II has been formed to providing recommendations and thoughts that will be submitted to the local government, provincial to the central government.

"Actually there are eight points of demands demanding the provincial government enforcing the law No.3/2012 on the prohibition of transporting mining products for PT Anhui Conch Cement Tabalong allegedly using illegal coal as a raw material to produce cement," he said.
