Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Chairman of Commission IV for the Welfare of the South Kalimantan Legislative Council (DPRD) Yazidie Fauzi suspected the illegal levies involving state senior high school SMAN 10 vice-principal was just misconceptions.

"However, the case of red-handed operation (OTT) by the illegal levies eradication task force (Saber Pungli) team must be investigated according to the applicable procedures and regulations," he said, before the plenary session of the DPRD in Banjarmasin on Thursday.

He explained the alleged misunderstanding in the case because the levy was to add to the school's required buildings, and the collection was done publicly.

Perhaps the SMAN 10 Banjarmasin did not really understand the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture (Permendikbud) Number 75 of 2016 on School charges, said the former Chairman of the South Kalimantan National Committee of Indonesia Youth (KNPI).

Because of the lack of understanding, procedural errors happened in the collecting funds for development at SMAN 10, continued the legislator again.

Whereas Permendikbud 75/2016 clearly prohibits schools from levies, except in the form of voluntary donations or donations from parents or guardians.

"The purpose of the donation as in Permendikbud 75/2016 is not tied to amount (must be voluntary) and the time is loose on the agreement of the school committee," he said.
