Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) -  The municipal government of Banjarmasin in South Kalimantan acknowledged there is now a scramble of the potential local revenue (PAD) in the boundary with Banjar and Barito Kuala districts.

Banjarmasin Governance Head Iwan Ristianto here on Tuesday said boundaries of Banjarmasin with Banjar and Barito Kuala are clearly regulated in the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) No. 12/2011.

"The problems that arise are sometimes because of the vacant land between the borders to be the source of revenue, so it becomes a mutual claim to each other," said Iwan.

Therefore, he said, it is necessary to negotiate between the two governments to ensure the point of border coordinates to obtain the revenue right.

"Yes (should) check together to the field, so get a binding agreement," he said.

He said this had never been a major problem as far as the neighboring regions coordinated, as about the Treepark Hotel located on the border of Banjarmasin and Banjar.

"The matter of location of the Treepark is just difference of perception between Banjarmasin and Banjar, and now it is taken over by the provincial government to solve it, certainly it can be settled," he said.

Including the gate of Banjarmasin, whose part of it construction location is in Banjar District, has not become problematic because of mutual coordination. It was understandable because of it coordinates tilted if following the highway path.

In the future, said Iwan, the city government will install many pegs for the clarity of the location of the border with each region. Some are already in the neighborhood streets.

"Because it is now densely populated in the boundary, the position of population area must be clear to make all services also clear," he said.

According to him, with the Permendagri No. 12/2011 on Banjarmasin City Boundary with two district, now the area of  Banjarmasin has increased from originally 72 square kilometers to 98 square kilometers.
