Denturist shop devoured by fire

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 27/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - A fire broke out in Ujung Murung shopping area, Central Banjarmasin, devouring a denturist shop on Thursday afternoon at around 16:15.

"The fire burnt the inside of the shop of Hwang Tju Mang's denturist shop," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes (Senior Commissioner) Anjar Wicaksana Sik here on Thursday.

He said the victim in the accident was Wiily (39), who owns Hwang Tju Mang's Denturist Shop.

The man who lived at Jalan Cempaka VII, Central Banjarmasin, is reported to have shock, although not suffered injuries in his body in the disaster.

According to a witness, Hoe Foe Aan (63), the incident started when the victim lit a lighter inside his business. Then the fire grabbed a spill of gasoline then burned a stack of egg shelf made of cardboard.

The fire that burned the egg rack caused a cloud of smoke. Fire can be extinguished by BPK (firefighters) at around 16:40 pm.

"There is no casualty but the value of the loss can not be assessed. The cause of fire is suspected as a result of the victim light a lighter that grabbed gasoline," Anjar said.

On the frequent fire incident in Banjarmasin, chief police again reminded residents to always be careful and alert to the threat of fire danger that at any time could happen.

"Especially now starting to enter the dry season, of course, the hot temperatures very quickly ignite the fire," he said.
