Kandangan, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Just last January out of prison did not make Ahmad Yani (51), middle-aged man resident of Tambak  Bitin, North Daha, deterrent to circulate Zenit and sabu-sabu.


Unmitigated, the suspect was caught with evidence of tens of thousands of zenith when taking packet in Kandangan Kota Urban Village, Tuesday (25/4) at around 14:30 pm.

South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Police Chief AKBP Sukendar Eka Ristiyan Putra through Public Relation AKP Agus Winartono said, when arrested the suspect was delivering the drug package.

The arrest began with information that a public transport carrying drugs such as zenit or carnophen.

"The arrest led by Chief Operation Drug Investigation Aiptu Hary Susanto. The suspect could not stood-off when searched was found Carnophen in a bag which wrapped with sack inside," he said.

The worse, he added, when police repeated a search of the suspect's belongings they found sabu-sabu wrapped in white paper tucked into the box of Carnophen.

The evidence secured were 10,010 carnophen pills, one sheet of cigarette-aluminum paper, a 0.24gr sabu-sabu package and one glass pipette.

Agus Winartono added the suspect charged with layered articles namely Article 197 jo 196 Law No. 36 of 2009 on Health and Article 114 jo 112 paragraph of Law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics.

"The suspect will be sentenced to a prison term of at least 4 years and a maximum of 12 years and a fine of at least Rp800 million and a maximum of Rp8 billion," he said.
 
In the interrogation, the suspect admitted that he was a drug courier. This job has only been done for 2 months, by taking the goods from Banjarmasin, then the drug brought by public transport and suspect followed behind with motorcycle.
