HSU prepares free medicine for water buffalo

Amuntai, South Kalimantan, 22/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of Livestock Production Section of North Hulu Sungai Livestock Agency Hasby said the agency is preparing free medicines for sick water buffalos.

According to Hasby, some farmers sometimes did not get the correct information from the agency, related to various programs have been prepared, including the provision of free livestock medicine.

He also said that officers from the agency are scheduled regular visits to farmer groups to check the condition of livestock and provide free livestock drugs and vitamins.

"We admit lately a lot of swamp buffalo died, due to the mother can not release milk," he said in Amuntai Saturday.

He expects, through routine checks and programs of providing free medicines for livestock, ranchers can quickly treat and save their sick buffalo.

"Please the breeders who have their buffalos ill, take free medication at the Animal Husbandry Agency," he said.

Previously, some swamp buffalo breeders in Paminggir Sub-district admitted having difficulty obtaining medicine for their sick buffalos. Because they did not quickly get the medicine, the farmers were forced to let their buffalo died and thrown away in the swamp waters.
