Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Prosecutor's office head (Kajari) Abdul Muni reminded the Regional Development Watch (TP4D) team in their effort to prevent corruption to keep carrying out prosecution in case of criminal violation.


"Not because of prevention then put aside prosecution. Pidsus (special crime prosecutor) is still taking part and watching TP4D's performance. Although not joining in it, there is an intelligence function keeps going," Abdul Muni said in Amuntai on Thursday.

Kajari said in his work visit to all districts and cities throughout South Kalimantan he received many requests from regents and local officials to enlighten them on local financial management, including the management of village funds, in order not to violate law and regulations.

He acknowledged the absorption of national budgets in recent years were affected by the fear of local government officials. Hence the Prosecutor's Office established TP4D to assist local governments in the management of strategic projects, particularly those at the national scale.

According to him, if the government performs its duties in a transparent and responsible manner, it is not necessary to be afraid and fearful. However, he admitted, there are vulnerable points that need to get assistance from the prosecutor's office.

Particularly in the management of village funds, he admits, there are still many unclear rules. So the head of sub-district as the direct superior of the village head can play a role in supervision to prevent irregularities.
