Tapin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tapin district government encouraged students to plant chilli and some plants which have high economic value.


Head of the Tapin Environment Agency Zain Arifin in Rantau on Wednesday said an early introduction of a variety of important crops of high economic value done to let students love the environment and can help family economy.

Currently, he added, the Tapin government enthusiastically and incessantly develop a variety of horticulture crops. The spirit must be shared by the students as learning arena to care for the environment and recognize the potential of the area.

Zain was speaking on the guidance to be Adiwiyata (environmentally cultured) school in the Balahendang Hall, Rantau.
     
"Adiwiyata school coaching attended by all the principals and Adiwiyata applications operators in 2017," said Zain.
     
The guidance was given by the South Kalimantan Environment Agency in the hopes Tapin Adiwiyata team could achieve Adiwiyata school this year.
    
Adiwiyata team of Provincial Environment Agency Norowaty Endang said Adiwiyata schools are schools that care environment in an effort to build an ideal container for the students in their studies, especially in the environmental field.

"Schools do not just stuck at flowers to beautify the school, it better if they have plants that have economic value such as herb, chili, tomatoes, and other vegetables," said Endang.
