Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan,  (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin City Police destroyed more than one million dangerous drugs Zenith seized by Drug Unit some time ago.

"Evidence of more than one million Zenith pills can only be destroyed after the perpetrators get a final and binding court ruling," said City Police Chief Senior Commissioner Anjar Wicaksana Sik in Banjarmasin, Tuesday.

The destruction of 1.13161 pills Zenith was carried out at Banjarmasin City Police yard. Symbolically 200 boxes of Zenith burned, while the rest were taken to waste final disposal in South Ring Road, South Banjarmasin, for burning.

In addition to more than a million Zenith, said the police chief, crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) and ecstasy were also destroyed. 

Sabu-sabu weighing 195.27 grams and totaling of 28 ecstasy pills were destroyed. It took place at the front yard of Banjarmasin Police on Tuesday morning at around 10:00 pm and was witnessed by the suspects.

"Destruction of sabu-sabu and ecstasy we did by soaking in a bucket of water containing detergent," he said.

According to him, with the extermination of the drug, the Banjarmasin City Police have rescued 300 thousand human lives from the dangers of drugs.

"We will continue to fight against narcotics and dangerous drugs like Zenith. Anyone who is caught will be dealt with firmly," he said when accompanied by Drug Unit Chief Commissioner Feri R Sitorus Sik.

The destruction of evidence of narcotics and dangerous drugs was attended by the Deputy Mayor, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council Parliament, Head of Banjarmasin District Court, and the head of Prosecutors office.

Also present the city military commander (Dandim) 1007, Navy commander (Danlanal), National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) South Kalimantan, National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan Police Drugs Directorate, LKBH Unlam, NGOs and members of the Youth Anti-Drug Association, community leaders and youth leaders.
