Baby Found on Roadside

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 2/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Residents of Jalan HKSN, North Banjarmasin, found a baby allegedly dumped by his parents on a roadside near Dewi stall in HKSN housing complex.

"The baby found by HKSN residents is still alive," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Senior Commissioner Anjar Wicaksana Sik here, Monday.

The baby was found by Novia Adriani and Musliani Al Arus on Jalan HKSN RT16 around 07.30 pm Monday morning when they were passing through the area.

"The couple who found the infant expected that he was a new born baby and the baby was found in a box," he said.

For a while, the baby by residents and the local police handed over to community health center (puskesmas) inNorth Banjarmasin.

"The baby we submit to community health centers for treatment," he said.

From the results of the examination at the health center, the baby has a length of 50 cm and a weight of 2.5 kg and male sex.

"The case is handled by the North Banjarmasin Sector Police and assisted the city police to uncover who the perpetrators who throw out the innocent baby," he said.
