Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 24 athletes ready to compete in the 2016 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) in West Java, which began on October 14, 2016.


Banjar Regent Khalilurrahman here on Monday released 24 athletes who are ready to follow a number of sports competed for disabilities.

"We hope all the athletes are able to follow the race well and keep uphold sportsmanship, so that the achievements are of truly pure as a victory," said the regent.

He also expected all athletes showed the best ability in order to win achievement at the national event, thus bring a good name of area, particularly Banjar Regency.

All Banjar athletes subsequently joined other Peparnas athletes from other districts and cities in South Kalimantan, so that the achievements carry the name of the area.

"We are praying, all athletes, either from Banjar or other district and cities, won and bring the good name of South Kalimantan, especially Banjar regency," he said.
