Management of PT PLN (Persero) South and Central Kalimantan Main Distribution Unit (UID Kalselteng) received a visit from the Kotabaru DPRD's Commission III to discuss the equalizing village access to electricity in the district.
Chairman of Commission III Denny Hendro Kurnianto, Deputy Chairman Ruspiyandi and members of the commission were welcomed by Senior Planning Manager Ahmad Syamsuri, Costumer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) Kotabaru Manager Saifudin, and Manager of Electricity Project Implementation Unit (UP2K) South Kalimantan Winardi.
"Thank you for the warm welcome of the management of PLN and we also appreciate PLN for building electricity in Kotabaru during 2023. We in DPRD are ready to synergize with any parties in term of regional development, especialy with PLN," Denny noted in a statement received here on Friday.
Denny explained that Kotabaru DPRD has a legal product that can help PLN to expedite the electricity development program, especially rural electricity which has quite difficult access and that should be strived for.
Deputy Chairman Ruspiyandi added that Kotabaru DPRD is ready to collaborate with PLN to accelerate the distribution of electricity facilities in the district whose nickname "Bumi Saijaan".

Senior Planning Manager Ahmad Syamsuri welcomed the Kotabaru DPRD offer, because electricity infrastructure cannot proceed without the collaboration of all parties.
He said PLN need regional regulation concerning trees, for an easier network construction and maintenance process, because many residents still don't understand the safe limits on the distance between tree plants and the electricity network.
"The increasing use of electricity will of couse have an impact on increasing local revenue, thus the benefits return to the community. For PJU (public street lighting), we strongly agree that DPRD encouraging equal distribution to villages, the development will be carried out by the local government and PLN is ready to help provide references," said Syamsuri.
