Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan wushu athlete Muhammad Sofi'i donated a silver medal for his contingent in National Games (PON) XIX West Java, 2016.


Muhammad Sofi'i, who competed in the 75 kg class in the final round in GOR Padjadjaran Bandung, on Wednesday, must acknowledged the benefits of host athlete, Iman Lesmana, with a whopping score of 1-2.

Muhammad Sofi'i actually have a chance of winning in the first round with a perfect score given by the jury, as he managed to hit his opponent out of the ring.

But in the second round, Muhammad Sofi'i looked relaxing his attacks, until seen not a lot of punches and kicks went into the body of the opponent, not even a drop or slam each other, the result was won by Iman Lesmana.

In the decisive third round, the match was still not too many attacks from both. Although Muhammad Sofi'i had dropped his opponent, but the jury choose Iman Lesmana to get full value up to win the game.

According to Muhammad Sofi'i, he was quite content to rank two in this event, even if the target is to get the gold.

"It's okay, I do not want to blame anybody, this has been my sustenance to be thankful for," he explained.

He also hoped that in the upcoming PON can fix this achievement by continuing to practice and practice.
