The District Government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, again won the Most Innovative District at the 2023 Innovative Government Award (IGA) event.
The award was received by Tabalong Regent H Anang Syakhfiani from Minister of Home Affairs HM Tito Karnavian in Jakarta, Tuesday (Dec 12, 2023).
"In addition to being the most inovative district, we became the region with the highest innovation index in the Kalimantan-Sulawesi region (Region III)," said Regent Anang Syakhfiani in a press statement released by Tabalong Communication and Informatics Office, Wednesday.
It was for the third time that Tabalong government won the same award since 2021 and this year it had two leading innovations, Julak Wasi and Paliat Online from 175 innovation it submitted to IGA 2023.
Julak Wasi, which was a breakthrough to facilitate basic comodities distribution was able to control inflation. In October 2023, Tabalong's inflation stood at 2.49 percent and became the fifth lowest in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Paliat Online was an effort to improve public services by making business easier for investors.
It had a significant impact on investment in Tabalong. In 2022 it recorded domestic investment (PMDN) of IDR3.2 trillion, the highest in South Kalimantan.
In his remarks, Minister Tito Karnavian hoped that the regional government to continue to innovate to create quality and systematic services.
The minister said that his sides kept on encouraging the regional governments in Indonesia to continue making breakthroughs and innovation that are useful and appropriate.
