Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Kotabaru narcotics police Unit along with Kotabaru Narcotics Agency (BNK) urine tested visitors of karaoke in one of the hotels in town.


Kotabaru police chief AKBP H Suhasto through the head of narcotics unit AKP Ubaldus Delo here on Saturday said at least 62 visitors underwent a urine test.

"We also urine test all karaoke vocalist and officers in an attempt to anticipate the circulation of drugs in the entertainment surroundings," he said.

In the urine test, said the drug unit head, the team secured four people who tested positive. They were Sh (20), Nc (18), and Sk, residents of North Pulau Laut, and Sa (20), a resident of East Pulau Laut.

The retest then done and deepening. Two of the four positive and two other still in doubt.

"Two who tested still in doubt will be discharged, and objected to report," said Ubaldus.

While two positive will undergo further examination by the narcotics unit police.

Ubaldus who was accompanied by BNK Kotabaru PR Imam Hanafi said the urine test on the visitor of entertainments as an attempt to suppress drug trafficking in Kotabaru, especially in places of entertainment.
