Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government of Banjarmasin is doing renovations of an old house in siring (embankment) Martapura river at Jalan Piere Tendean.
According to the Banjarmasin Head of Human Settlements and Housing Agency A Fanani Syaifuddin on Tuesday, the green old house renovation budgeted approximately Rp700 million taken from the local budget or pure 2016 Budgets.
Renovation of the old house, he said, is not made in total, but only to replace parts of the walls, roof and floor which already fragile with age with pristine wood, while the design remains unchanged as it came.
"This house is not a historical site. We just call it the old house as the house beside the Anno 1925 house is also maintained along the river Martapura as a tourist attraction," he said.
According to him, this old house will be used by municipality to support tourism means, of course, after a complete renovation will be submitted to the mayor's discretion, to be utilized as anything.
