Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The cement industry PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk is targeting 10,000 skilled construction workers to be certified in Tiga Roda Cement Schools (Setara) program.


"Setara is an initiative of Indocement to elevate the capability and knowledge of construction workers and the participants are expected to meet the criteria to be certified by the National Construction Development Agency (LPJK)," said CSR Manager of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Sahat Panggabean in a press release, Saturday (24/6).

Setara firstly implemented in February 2015. The program is a cooperative project of Indocement with KemenPU-PR (Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing), LPJK and colleges. Until now 10 class held in eight cities in Indonesia.

About 1,000 participants have been certified by LPJK. It is expected by 2020 a total of 10,000 skilled construction workers to be certified under this program.

Indocement also has a program RISHA-Indocement (RI) which is a joint project between Indocement and Housing Research and Development Center, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (KemenPU-PR).

RI technology is a simple home manufacturing technology, healthy and quality-based cement using precast components with a modular size.

RI building structures using concrete K300 so that durability can exceed 50 years. The cost required to build a house with RI technologies ranging from Rp 1.4 million - Rp 1.7 million per square meter for a one-story building, and Rp1.8 million - Rp 2.2 million per square meter for the building of two floors.

A total of 11 houses with RI technology were first established in the village of Tanjung Anom, Sub-district of Mauk, Tangerang, Banten, at the end of 2015.
