Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The district government of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) now focus in handling final wast disposal as its efforts to win the 2016 Adipura clean and green award.
Secretary of HSS Environment, Urban and Village Management Agency H Makmur here on Tuesday said that the district keep on enhancing and improving the handling of Adipura points of assessment.
Temporary waste disposal (TPS), markets and last waste disposal (TPA) in Malutu, he said, have significant value in the assessments.
In additions are schools to give a quite big value for the assessment, namely state high school SMAN 2 and state vocational school SMKN 2 Kandangan.
The process of waste sorting and making of compost are now conducting in the schools, also cultivating of plants in and around the schools as indicators of their care for the environment.
"We hope the enhancing and tidy up of physicals will deliver us to win Adipura award," he said.
Meanwhile, HSS also providing waste banks. The district now has 15 volunteers, three females and 12 males. They doing the ongoing of waste banks development.
