Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The city's own taps water company PDAM Bandarmasih offers as many as 2.750 low price taps installations for low income household (MBR) this year.

General Director of PDAM Bandarmasih Farida Ariyati when speaking to the press here on Thursday said that the city again gets fund assistance for low price taps installations for MBR from the state budget and Special Allocation Fund (DAK).

The taps installation will only charged for Rp250 thousand and added with a two months free bill. According to Farida, 1.650 installations assistance comes from Public Work and Housing Ministry and 500 others comes from DAK.

"We (PDAM) still owe 600 installations to Australian aids for 7.500 chief installation program. Thus the amount is 2.750 installations for MBR this year," she said.

But the problem for the taps company is to find household in poor (MBR) category will not be easy in the provincial capital. Thus it employees have to come down to the field to look for them.

"So far we only found 805 households, while we only have a week time limit to report for the assistance from state budget to fulfill 1.500 MBR," she said.

Farida said that the taps company has appealed that public community play their role to give information. It also disseminates the program through mass-media.
