Balangan, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Balangan Resort Police pursued armed robbers who disturbing residents, Friday (19/2).


The chase lasted approximately four hours in the villages of Gulinggan and Sungai Batung, Sub-district of Juai. But police only secured two homemade guns, seven ammunition and a Vixion motorcycle falling during the chase.

Brigadier Faisal Kadafi, a Juai police who chased, said he was first not convinced that they were the robbers.

"Me and Bripka Asmaini were not convinced the two men we met were the perpetrators, so we continued to chase and tried to stop them," he said.

Public reports came in about 11:00 am to the Juai police office there has been a robbery in the Panimbaan village, Juai, with a total of Rp2.3 millions robbed and the victim was a wife of H Ining, a rubber collector.

Juai Police directly after them together with the Balangan and Halong Police. By pocketing the characteristics of the offenders and vehicles they used, police immediately conducted sweeps.

Right in the Gulinggang village, they found two people with traits that notified by the public. When tried to halt them, the perpetrators resisted and fled.

Police continued to pursue until one offender fell and fled into the forest. The other perpetrator fled on a motorbike. Up in the village of Sungai Batung, the perpetrator dropped, but he escaped by plunging into the river.

Until now the police still pursuing the two robbers. Evidence of homemade weapons and vehicles now secured in the Juai police office.
