Balangan, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - The Balangan Health Office builds a stop smoking clinic in an effort to make the district as smoke-free area.


Secretary of the district Health Office Erwan in Paringin on Wednesday said the clinic will be a featured program at a local community health center (puskesmas).

According to him, stop smoking clinic is part of the form of the seriousness of the district government through the Health Agency in creating the Balangan without cigarettes as a Balangan law No. 15, 2015.
    
"In addition to establishing a smoking booth space, the Health Agency programmed stop smoking clinic as Balangan seriousness to create a region without cigarettes," he explained.
    
The clinic, which is located in the Southern Paringin Community Health Center scheduled to be inaugurated on Thursday (11/2), said Erwan.
    
This stop smoking clinic occupies a building at the rear of the puskesmas, and the will be managed by officers handling non-communicable diseases (NCDs) program from existing community health centers in Balangan.
    
"NDCs handlers comes from all health centers in Balangan, they will take turns on duty at the clinic," he said.
    
As a first step, the clinic will operate once a week, exactly every Thursday, he said.
    
The next, if the community welcomed and benefited from the stop smoking clinic, it will add operation days. Even later all puskesmas in Balangan will have a stop-smoking clinic.
    
Erwan explained, a form of service to be provided at the clinic, in addition to counseling also hypnotheraphy program.
    
"If indeed there is an intention to reduce and even stop smoking, with a minimum of two therapies in the clinic, God willing, this bad habit will be resolved," he assured.
