Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Criminal Investigation Unit police has uncovered five illegal lottery (known as kupon putih or white coupon) gambling cases in the past week.
"There were five cases of gambling, the average were white coupon gambling, we have uncovered and arrested the perpetrators," said head of criminal investigation police (satreskrim) Commissioner Wildan Alberd Sik in Banjarmasin Wednesday.
The five cases including three cases from the arrests made by Banjarmasin Police and two other cases were delived by South Kalimantan Regional Police.
Currently, the five cases were under investigation for further legal proceedings for acts violating Article 303 of the Criminal Code.
In this five cases, police arrested five suspects and evidence, including money, recaps and guess numbers in the perpetrators' phones.
"The five actors now held in police custody and if the dossiers of investigation have been completed, will immediately transferred to the Banjarmasin Prosecutors Office," said he who graduated from the Police Academy class of 2002.
Not only that, Satreskrim Banjarmasin will continue to fight against gambling in this region, both white coupon, dice, dominoes, etc. If it meets the elements of violation, then police immediately make arrest.
"We are determined to create a conducive atmosphere, so that all actions lead to a criminal offense will immediately be arrested," said the man who had served as the East Banjarmasin police chief.
