The pair of Banjarbaru Mayor H M Aditya Mufti Ariffin and Deputy Mayor  Wartono have booked 28 awards both at the provincial and national level during one year of leading the city. 

The couple of regional heads who uphold the slogan of Banjarbaru Maju, Agamais dan Sejahtera (Juara) or go forward, religious, and prosperity have led the City of Banjarbaru exactly one year since they were sworn in on February 26, 2021.

A simple thanksgiving marked the celebration at the Banjarbaru City Government's Gawi Sabarataan Hall on Friday and attended by elements of the City Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of governent working units (SKPDs) and other invitees. 

"We are grateful and proud that during one year of our leadership we have won 28 awards. All that we have achieved thanks to the assistance and support of all apparatus and other parties," said the mayor. 

According to him,  the dozens of awards collected in 2021 are balanced wth the targets that are political promises and ready to be realized in 2022 .

Some of political promises have been included in vision and mission for five years of their leadership including home care program, independent neighborhood units (RTs), and other programs that lead to physical activities. 

"We express our gratitude and high appreciation to Forkopimda, regional secretary, expert staff, assistants, heads of SKPD, sub-district heads,  and urban village heads for their cooperation," he said. 

He stated that the achievements of the development were the results of the joint efforts. Any deficiencies will be corrected in the reminder of their tenure which ends in 2024.

He was also grateful that in his era of leadership, Banjarbaru becomes the capital of South Kalimantan Province. His government will prepare a grand design to build a more advanced and better Banjarbaru in the future.

"We will soon make a major design plan and BRT for the city of Banjarbaru. This is of course the most beautiful gift for us because Banjarbaru has been mandated to be the capital of South Kalimantan," he said.
