The Banjarbaru City Government has received an award from the Indonesian Ministry of Health for achieving the Non-Polio Alpha-FetoProtein (NPAFP) 2021 target.
Banjarbaru was declared free of polio and succeeded in achieving the standard value of an area that has non polio AFP status.
"We thank all health workers and related govenment working units (SKPDs) who have worked optimally and are committed to prevent polio cases until we win this national award," said Banjarbaru Mayor Aditya Mufti Ariffin, Saturday.
It must be maintained, he emphasized, through the performance of health workers and SKPDs that work together to achieve the final good results in the assessment standards.

He also asked health workers and SKPDs at all levels to be able to provide the best services for all level of society to realize the government's presence in the public.
According to the Ministry of Health's standards, an area is declared free of polio must meet a minimum standard rate of 2/100,000 population of childen under 15 years of age.
This standard was successfully achieved by Banjarbaru which over the past few years has been able to increase the number of polio immunization and AFP surveillance(cases of acute wilting paralysis) which has resulted in winning a national award.
