Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 40 families in the village of Sialing, Muara Uya, Tabalong, targeted for Isolated Traditional Community (KAT) empowerment program of the Ministry of Social Affairs.


Head of Tabalong Social Affairs and Labor Agency Yuhani in Tanjung on Saturday said empowerment of isolated community tobe implemented in 2016. The program has previously implemented in the village of Damboeng, Bintang Ara Sub-district.

"We've presented the Isolated Traditional Community (KAT) empowerment activities plan for Sialing village in the coordination meeting in Bali and the program is implemented next year," said Yuhani.

KAT empowerment in `Bumi Saraba Kawa` (Tabalong) implemented since 2012 and until now the local government through the provincial and district budgets still provide a social welfare for residents of the target program. Including the provision of free medication and textbooks to support education.

"The social welfare for remote indigenous communities living in Damboeng village will end of this year because of the empowerment program is given only for two years," said Yuhani again.
