A total of 1,000 aliyah (Islamic high school) and tsanawiyah (Islamic junior high school) students in North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District received COVID vaccine jab provided by the South Kalimantan National Intelligence Agency (BIN).
The South Kalimantan BIN cooperated with the medical staff of the Amuntai Selatan community health center (Puskesmas) for the service.
Students from MAN 5 HSU, MTsN 3, and MTsN As-Salam participated in the mass vaccination held at Islamic high school MAN 3 in Simpang Tiga Village, Amuntai Selatan Sub-district.

"Thanks to President Joko Widodo for the vaccination conducted by South Kalimantan BIN," said MAN 3 student Dita Aulia for free vaccination for students, Tuesday (October 26, 2021).
She also thanked the HSU regent, and Health Agency, especially for the medical staff of Amuntai Selatan Puskesmas.
Dita and her friends were firstly nervous when participating in the activities, but then she acknowledged that getting a vaccine jab was not as she feared.
"It doesn't hurt, it's normal," said the XI grade student.
Head Operation of South Kalimantan BIN Supriyono when contacted said that the mass vaccination targeting students was held to support direct learning activities.
