The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) named the South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District and a number of its villages as the winners of the climate village program (Proklim).

In awarding event held virtually at the 2021 Climate Festival commemoration, HSS won two categories of the Proklim certificate of appreciation, one for developing the program at the district/city level and the other the utama category for its villages.

"Five villages in HSS received the utama Proklim certificates," said Head of HSS Public Housing, Settlement Area, and Environment Agency (Dispera KPL) Ronaldy P Putra, Tuesday (19/10).

The five villages are Tambak Bitin in Daha Utara Sub-district, Lingau in Kandangan, Tibung Raya in Kandangan, Padang Batung in Padang Batung, and Pakuan Timur Village in Telaga Langsat.

Previously, in 2019 HSS had won the Utama Proklim certificate, then in 2021, the district won the same appreciation from the ministry.

"Insya Allah (God Willing) next year HSS will take part again in Proklim with the higher target to win Lestari category," he said.
