Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Navy prepares a warship, KRI Teluk Hading 538, to transport pemudik or the Eid al-Fitr homebound travelers from Trisakti Port.


"Possibly KRI Teluk Hading arrives here on July 15 and will be an additional Eid transport the next day to Surabaya," said Banjarmasin Naval Base Commander Col (P) Haris Bima Bayuseto, Sunday (12/7).

KRI Teluk Hading 538 is in the mission of Sapujagat, the Eid transport, sailed from Jakarta to Banjarmasin on Monday and is expected to arrive in Trisakti Port on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning to bring the travelers who can not be transported by passenger ships available to Surabaya.

"If necessary KRI Teluk Harding will be drawn again to Banjarmasin to help most passengers," he added when accompanying Director General of Sea Bobby Mamahit during a visit to the Trisakti Port.

Bobby Mamahit told hundreds of passengers who do not have tickets about a certainty ships headed for Surabaya on 13, 14 and 15 of July.

"There are still three more ships that will take travelers to Tanjung Perak Surabaya, plus support ship from the Navy," said Bobby Mamahit.

Currently at least 1500 passengers who do not have tickets crowded at Trisakti Port. General Manager of Pelindo III Banjarmasin Hengki Jajang Herasmana said it has taken several steps like to localize passengers who have and who have not tickets yet.

"We've localized passengers who do not have tickets so that they are easy to get tickets without going through middlemen," said Hengki Jajang Herasmana.
