The government of Kotabaru District was awarded by the Ministry of Finance for retaining an unqualified opinion (WTP) on its financial reports five times in a row from 2016 to 2020.

"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), we got the award as a result of our work together," said Head of the Kotabaru Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Risa Ahyani here on Tuesday.

Risa said Kotabaru had actually received WTP six times consecutively since 2015, but this time the award was calculated from 2016.

"This achievement is the fruit of hard work of all SKPD (government working units) under the leadership of Regent H Sayed Jafar," she pointed out in a press statement.

"BPKAD only oversees and coordinates this achievement assisted by the Inspectorate. Without good cooperation, direction, and guidance from the leadership, this is certainly difficult to obtain," she said.

Previously, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati expressed appreciation and gratitude to all ministries, institutions, and local government who consistently maintained and managed state finance and build good governance.

"What we use is a public fund, people's fund, and must be properly accounted for," she said.

The awarding that was held in the virtual 2021 National Meeting of Government Financial Reporting and Accounting was also attended by the District Secretary of Kotabaru H Said Akhmad and Assistant for General Administration Murdianto.
