Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda)  Nurul Fajar Desira CES said Banjarmasin City Government has managed moving warehouses out of the city.


"Municipal government policy prohibits warehousing in the city has been successful. Now all warehouses already moved out of the city at the Jalan Gubernur Soebarjo," he said in Banjarmasin, Wednesday.

Warehouses in the city of Banjarmasin used to be quite chaotic, as they are almost every where in the city. In addition to reducing the beauty they also cause congestion in almost all points.

According to Fajar, with the stipulation of warehousing area at Jalan Governor Soerbarjo as Bylaw Draft Spatial (RTRW) 2010-2030 Banjarmasin, the congestion in the city are now beginning to unravel.

"Thank God the policy adhered to by all parties, so that the problem of traffic congestion is resolved," he said.

Furthermore, he said, the government must continue to supervise strictly, so that there is no company that built warehouse in the city.

Head of the Banjarmasin Integrated Licensing Services and Investment (BP2TPM) Ikhsan Alhaq discloses, construction of warehouses permit in the area of warehousing at Jalan Governor Soebarjo also been published.

In addition, he said, BP2TPM have to stop the extensions of existing warehouses in the city since two years ago.

"Even if there are, it is only a transit warehouse or small scale warehouses. If a large warehouse may no longer exist in the city, all of them should be outside the city," he said.
