The Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu chapter of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) assured that the stock of rice and fresh meat is sufficient to meet the need of the two districts for the next four months.

Head of the agency here Dimas Farghan in Batulicin on Saturday said that the availability of rice in Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu Bulog warehouse is 400 tons.

"In Tanah Bumbu the rice stock available in the warehouse is 190 tons, and we ensure that it is sufficient for four months," said Dimas.

In addition to rice, the agency has enough stock of sugar, flour, and meat until lebaran (Eid) 2021.

It has a stock of frozen fresh beef up to 1 ton, buffalo meat stock 3 tons, sugar in Kotabaru around 37 tons, while in Tanah Bumbu 6 tons. The stock of flour in Tanah Bumbu 0,5 ton, and in Kotabaru 0,9 ton.

"We also coordinate with Bulog Office in Banjarmasin, when the stock of basic food at Bulog Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu run low, we will bring them from Banjarmasin," he said.

To support basic food price equalization, Bulog offers the cheapest price to the public. Rice price at IDR8,600/kg, beef IDR90,000/kg, buffalo meat IDR80,000/kg, sugar IDR12,500/kg.

"As an effort to assure food availability in each region, Bulog also works will local government to absorb agricultural products from local farmers," said Dimas.
