80 Year Grandfather Almost Burned

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - 80 year old grandfather who lived alone in a house made of wood almost burned after fire engulfed the house.

"Grandpa was there in the house when the fire become bigger and burn his house," said one resident at the scene, M. Noor.

The fires occurred on Tuesday (3/2) around 2:45 o'clock in Kampung Gedang, Gang IX Belimbing, Village Seberang Mesjid, RT 15 RW 02, Sub-district Central Banjarmasin.

When the fire began to burn the top and front of the house, a resident shouted to the fire brigade that there  was someone in the house.

Hear someone in the house who had surrounded by the fire, firefighters immediately evacuated to rescue the grandfather.

"I saw firefighters broke down the door of grandfather Alek's home. Once the door open some fire fighters get into the house and found the grandfather in a state of paralysis and could not walk," said M. Noor.

The 80-year-old man was immediately taken to a emergency room Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin.

Alek, who suspected of having paralytic, suffered burns on his right and left hand and right foot.
