Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Association of Indigenous Peoples (Permada) Tanah Laut continues to demand palm oil company PT Smart to restore an area of 671.75 hectares to 150 families of Kintapura Village, Sub-district Kintap.


"In a meeting From facilitated by the local government on Thursday (8/1), we have not come to meeting point," said Chairman of Permada Tanah Laut, Aban, after the meeting in Pelaihari, Thursday (8/1).

According to him, in addition to the problem of land disputes with the citizens, PT Smart plantation allegedly unlicensed, because since 1996 the permit has expired.

"As a result of our land claimed by PT Smart, communities around the company can no longer farming, fishing, and gardening," added Syahrin, one member of Permada.

Estate Manager PT Smart region Kintap, Budi, said that what is presented by Permada remains accommodated. "The bottom line in our institution could not give an answer yet, because we still discussing
about it internally," he explained.

On regards to licensing, he explained, the company in its activities have full permissions, including an area of 671.75 hectares claimed by society.
